Lecture Theatres are often features of educational establishments, mainly schools, colleges and universities, but you do also often see them in other educational settings.
We have recently kitted out a medical lecture theatre for a leading veterinary school.
The choice of equipment is important; however, it is often different in comparison to meeting rooms and board rooms. Mainly because the technology is often based around a one-sided lecturer/student session.
Some facilities though may include a provision for capturing responses from the audiences though, based on the specification of the space.

Lecture theatre audio is extremely important because the presenter being heard is one of the main objectives of one of these rooms. Often powerful amplifiers and speaker systems are used to spread the audio across the space. Often the audience will be 30+ strong.
In some theatres, there will be the option to have microphones at each seat, allowing two way interaction to take place between the lecturer and student.
Wireless Sharing Technology is often used within a lecture theatre space, often allowing the student to connect to screens within the facility. Many of the latest collaboration systems allow multiple connections to screens at the same time for the ultimate collaboration experience.
Different cost options are often available for lecture theatres. In most cases we would see a mixture of projection technology coupled with LFD’s (Large Format Displays).
LED Videowalls are also starting to become more commonplace within the lecture theatre, due to the performance when in brighter environments.
Voting systems may also be integrated into lecture theatres. This is a useful way to receive audience feedback live during a lecture. Talk to us about your project and we’d be happy to discuss the options.
Interactive Meeting Room Screens are often used as a teaching aid, with plenty of android and windows based devices on the market. They include many features, such as the ability to print out the content presented on the screen. In addition to this many feature the ability to annotate existing content, saving and printing the results.
Some can even integrate with cameras to record the full lecture from the front and back, which is especially useful when uploading footage to learning platforms.
